I recently had my dad, Clesson Cottrell and Uncle, Scott Cottrell down to Texas for some wild hog bowhunting action. You may have read the awesome live updates from Robert here on Bowhunting.Net.

I worked hard to get a few good hog hunting spots ready for my dad and uncle before they came to Texas. It proved to work, as my dad was able to kill 3 hogs during his 5 day hunt.

To keep the momentum going, I am going to do some of my own wild hog bowhunting over the next few weeks and into turkey hunting season. Turkey season starts April 1 in the North zone of Texas, where my hunting area is located. But, I am able to hunt wild hogs year-round and it’s needed at our lease.

I am coming back from spending some time on the beach of Fort Myers, working and relaxing. But, be ready for some daily updates from the wild hog woods, this week!

Good luck to all of you who have started turkey hunting already!
